Do
You Make Other People Happier?
Ask yourself:
● Do you produce positive feelings in
others?
● Do people
smile and
laugh in your presence?
● Are you a source of
inspiration for others?
● Do you create opportunities for others?
● Do people seem energized by you?
● Are you a source of comfort and security
for people around you?
“It is one of the most
beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help
another without helping himself.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Love People and Balance Giving and Receiving
Love people and translate the word "love" into action. Love is the
basis of
harmonic relationships and gracious giving and receiving. Strike a
healthy
balance between the two, and you’ll live a better life and achieve
much more. When giving and receiving are in proper balance, you have
time both to
listen and to
tell, to
lead and to be lead, to
coach and to be coached, to help others and to receive help, to be
there for people in need and to ask people for something.
“Remember that the best
relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need
for each other.”
~
Dalai Lama
Get Interested in People and Show Your Appreciation
Resolve to focus your energy on helping
others feel valued and appreciated. Show your appreciation with a
thank-you, or a smile. Call up someone you haven't spoken to in a while,
just to catch up on how they are.
"You can make more friends in two months
by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by
trying to get other people interested in you."
~
Dale Carnegie.
